Congratulations to this beautiful couple. May the Lord bless their marriage and every path they take together.
Jenny, I was reading your response on the "Steppin Heavenward" blog. (I just stumbled upon her blog on Friday, and have been inspired by that family and their faith.) You mentioned how is it that God can lead the wife towards adoption and not the husband. I had to write you because that was our situation completely. I speak from experience. God will change your husband's heart. He did it for us. It took exactly one year and one heartbreaking experience (for me,)for us. And just when I had accepted our current family size and became at peace with that. And then God... in all his faithfulness, changed my husbands heart completely when we saw an orphaned girl and had to act fast. We were on a plane to Guatemala in three days, (the day after Christmas,) signing paperwork to adopt her. My email address is sweetpea31897@msn.com. Feel free to email me. I am adding you and your husband to my prayer list. I know what your feeling, I have been there.
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Jesus
Love letter from God...
But now, this is what the Lord says - He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior... Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you... Do not be afaid, for I am with you..." Isaiah 43: 1-5
